We have updated our ground use booking options following the hard work put in by our groundsman, Matt Poucher, to make practice pitches available for both junior soft ball and junior / senior hard ball cricket. Many thanks to Matt, and also other volunteers who have given their time to get the covers ready and check the mobile net for safety.

In summary, the options are:

1. Junior Practice Pitch at PAVILION END
2. Outfield at WALL SIDE
3. Practice Pitch and Mobile Net at BROOKLANDS SIDE

Demand for option 3 is expected to be high, so if you are keen, please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. In reality, there should be plenty of slots available, as we are making the sessions this half-term week available throughout the day (except at lunchtime when our groundsman needs time to do his work e.g. cut the outfield). Times available each day are:

9am, 10am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm – note that all session are for 45 minutes to allow time between sessions.

As you may be aware, Menston Cricket Club has not asked for any member subscriptions so far this year (unlike some other nearby clubs), and today was due to be our all important community Fun Day – a crucial fundraiser. We are also not making any charge for use of our facilities, even though our costs increase by making them available. As such, please, if you can, make a pledge to our COVID-19 fund when you make a booking:
